Creating Your First Form

Follow these steps to create your first form in Paper Point.

Step 1: Access the Form Builder

After logging in, click "New Form" in your dashboard. You can either:
- Start from scratch with a blank form
- Choose from our template library

Step 2: Add Fields

Drag fields from the left panel onto your form:

Field Type Description
Text Short text input
Textarea Long text input
Number Numeric input
Email Email address with validation
Date Date picker
Select Dropdown menu
Checkbox Multiple choice (multiple answers)
Radio Multiple choice (single answer)
File Upload Accept file uploads
Signature Digital signature capture
GPS Geolocation capture
Photo Camera capture

Step 3: Configure Fields

Click on any field to configure it:
- Label — The question text
- Required — Make the field mandatory
- Placeholder — Helper text shown in the field
- Validation — Set rules (min/max length, patterns)
- Conditional Logic — Show/hide based on other answers

Step 4: Preview and Publish

  1. Click "Preview" to test your form
  2. Click "Publish" when you're satisfied
  3. Share the link or embed the form on your website

Tips

  • Use sections to organize long forms
  • Enable offline mode for field data collection
  • Set up notifications to get alerted on new submissions
